- "Village is charming and hotel is "old world"...even has "pensioners" in
winter season."Movie-set" street-side bar/breakfast room and delicious
continental breakfast. "Homely" rooms but fits into the "atmosphere".
Only two block walk to El Escorial and many atractive leisure stops
throughout the village. Great spot to visit Avila, San Lorenzo de la
Grangia,etc" - Is there anything you didn't like?
- "If arriving by car (without gps). Expect several family rows due to small one-way street system (aggravated by my lack of Spanish language). Parking initially is a "headache" until you locate public parking buildings. Parking is expensive? 20Euros/24hour but supervised and very convenient. Main meal service is mid-afternoon so North Americans are hard put to wait for local eateries to open at 8:30pm. No meal service in hotel in the evening"

- "No staff at the hotel spoke any English so even though they had a lovely restuarant, we could not work out anything . So we ate in a shabby restaurant nearby...spoilt what could have been a wondful stay."
