- "Characterful hotel with interesting period features. Queen Alexander Room was very spacious, light, airy and comfortable. In general, pleasant, efficient staff. Central location and availability of parking also good."

- "As others have stated £10 per night parking charge should be inclusive given the room charges. Service at breakfast on Monday was poor - waited 25 minutes for tea/toast - problems with their hot water boiler - shouldn't have affected the toast... or the fact that my order for Eggs Benedict got lost. However the staff were apologetic and the breakfast charge was waived - so situation recovered. The choice and quality of food was very good."
