- "The staff were generally very pleasant and helpful. I also enjoyed having a swimming pool available at the end of a busy day."
- Is there anything you didn't like?
- "I ate in the restaurant on the first night. I would like to believe that the waitress had at least read the menu before coming to serve me. I would like to believe the hotel's propaganda printed on the menu, that the Chef had "Sourced fresh local produce to create the best traditional British dishes." I would like to believe that the chef had actually been involved in making the pastry for the pie crust, or had lovingly slow cooked the beef and parsnip filling before straining off some of the gravy to serve as an accompaniment. I would like to believe that the pie had not in actual fact been delivered that afternoon by Brake Brother's, or that the gravy had not come from a Maggie packet mix and that the chips had been cut on the premises from actual potatoes rather than par-cooked, chilled, vacuum packed and delivered along with the pie. In short I would like to believe that the "chef" was anything more than an unskilled fryer-jockey, BUT I DON'T!"

- "Breakfast never showed up to the room, room service and the front desk never answer the phone and confusion between bar bills and which room they apply to."

stressfull weekend a lot more bearable." - Is there anything you didn't like?
- "The only thing that I would say, was while we were there for the weekend there was a rather large wedding reception taking place which seemed to overflow into the rest of the bar area and lounge, which made the hotel appear quite crowded, and while we were eating our evening meal the music from the wedding function which was next to the restaurant was very loud and offputting, and I think also due to wedding we had to wait a very long time for our food to arrive. Im sure these points though were only to do with the wedding"
