What did you like the most?: "The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean and
the hotel was well kept. The location was outstanding for access to
Downtown, The Gaslamp District, Seaport Village and even the water taxi
to Coronado."
Is there anything you didn't like?: "We arrived at 3:00 and our room had been cleaned but not received final inspection. We were asked to wait 15 minutes, so we went to a drug store and came back in 1 hour. Then tjhe computer system was down and it took another 1/2 hour before we were allowed into the room. The staff did send an inexpensive bottle of champagne and some cheese as an apology but it was frustrating since we waited until actual cyheck in time to arrive. There was no notice that the pool was shuit down and that we had to go to another hotel on a shuttle to use a pool. My wife has a bad back and needs a pool so it was very inconvenient. There was no bathtub in the room, only a shower and this was not an option online when we signed up. We had to switch to a 2 queen bed room to get a bath instead of a King bed. Internet connection was only available if you were a Hilton Honors member. Most hotels are offering this service for free now. Downtown still struggles with a homeless population which is not a reflection on the hotel."
