The Parliament of Andalucia is the body which has the legislative power. It is composed of deputies elected through direct universal voting, which represents the Andalucian people. The Andalucian Parliament was constructed in 1982, after the approval from the Statute of Autonomy in 1981 Its present headquarters is the old "Hospital de cinco llagas" in Seville.The building is rectangular in shape and has ten floors of which currently eight are preserved. The most characteristic element of the building is its church which is situated in the central passage of accidents. It stands out as it possesses Latin cross and Renaissance style, using its interiors as a place for celebrations of parliamentary sessions.
