"Central location in historic Southampton. Boutique hotel of nostalgic
importance on Oxford Street amidst restaurants and pubs. The staff were
very helpful with my 3 large suitcaes. (No lift!) Free wifi in the rooms

What did you like the most?: "Central location in historic Southampton. Boutique hotel of nostalgic
importance on Oxford Street amidst restaurants and pubs. The staff were
very helpful with my 3 large suitcaes. (No lift!) Free wifi in the rooms
and the bed was very comfortable. Great food, but reservations are a
must as with all the other restaurants in the area. (I was there during
the boat show!) I thoroughly enjoyed my stay!"
Is there anything you didn't like?: "There is no lift (Historical Monument Protection) which makes it difficult with luggage or handicapped persons, but the staff is very helpful. My room was on the 1st floor (2nd fl. Us) and just above the dining rooms which meant there was rather loud music from 07.00 till 23.00 (there were ear plugs on the nightstand!). The music really didn't bother me, though -- as I said it stopped at 23.00 on the dot. (The scraping of tables and chairs at 06.00 for setting up for breakfast was more irritating.)"

What did you like the most?: "Very nice and comfy well worth what we paid (£95)"
Is there anything you didn't like?: "A few minor details let the room down in terms of the finish. The TV was a bit small tea and coffee in the wardrobe and some decorating. But thats just me being fussy."

What did you like the most?: "Ate breakfast there was very good . Reception staff excellent found bar staff ok but not buzzing with enthusiasm to help."
Is there anything you didn't like?: "Not recommended for poor mobility guests as numerous stairs to get to rooms."

What did you like the most?: "Location was excellent as we're the staff who couldn't do enough. Room was well maintained and such a lovely relax!
Breakfast in the bar downstairs, reading the papers was such a treat and the lady on shift, I didn't get her name, was brilliant and very helpful. Great selection of breakfast aswell."
Is there anything you didn't like?: "The room we had was facing the front of the bar and as it was hot we had to have the windows open so the noise was very loud. Did try the fan in the room but that was very very noisy aswell! I think as it is a bar complimentary earplugs should be provided. Tea and coffee provided but no biscuits and being that we were relaxing it would have been nice."
