What did you like the most?
"Great location, very laid back. Clean room. Old decor, old lodge like atmosphere. Free coffee and hot cocoa all the time in lobby area with microwave and toaster so that you could do your own breakfast."

What did you like the most?
"Right on free shuttle route to Winter Park ski resort. Beds soft. Funky
cabin atmosphere -- walls untreated pine/fir, banisters varnished
2x4s. Looks like a 1970s movie set. I expected to see Clint Eastwood
getting ready to head up the Eiger."
Is there anything you didn't like?
"An apparent ghost motel. Arrived at 8pm, nobody around. Sign says to check at ski shop, which is closed. I wandered around, wondering what to do, trying to get a cell signal to call the hotel I was standing in, when I saw an envelope with my name on it thumbtacked to a bulletin board. Keys. Great. I got to the room (#22) which had a queen and two twins for my two girls (9 and 11). However, the twin beds were in a loft up an 8 ft ladder(!) with no siderail. This was not an acceptable option for small children (and the reservation was for 1 adult and 2 kids, and they booking.com ? asked for the ages, so our party composition was known). The place, being devoid of staff, left me few options. I wanted to change rooms the next morning before skiing, but of course no one was there. I waited until 8:15 and went to the adjacent ski shop where I talked to a dude who called the absentee owner and got me a new room (#14); a bit noisy, right on the street but much better. My daughter loved it because shw had her own space, the loft, which was up real stairs this time, not a freaking ladder. We got no room/maid service -- came back to the same unmade bed and wet towels. I 'checked out' by dropping the keys in a basket. I would say that no one works at the hotel except that at 10:30am the day of departure someone knocked on the door and said "Who's in there?!?" and then opened the door. I said "hello." and he said "You're checking out?" I said yes. He grunted and pulled the door shut. I guess I could recommend this place to ski dudes looking for someplace cheap, but the service sucks (I.E. completely nonexistent). I never saw anyone at the desk the three days I was there. And the ski shop, which apparently serves as the hub of the place seems to be open 8ish to 6pm. Phones in room don't work (which to be fair, I think they note), no wifi (also noted). I'd stay again, I guess, in a pinch because my daughter had fun."

What did you like the most?
"Excellent location, very friendly staff, not fancy but very comfortable.
Rental shop and ski lockers on premises. Reasonable rates and the
shuttle to the resort stops right in front."
Is there anything you didn't like?
"The group above us was a bit loud but other than that, no complaints, we enjoyed our stay. We'll be back."
