- "We got 48% off regular prices at booking, which was good."

- "Funny smell inside the room, not sure from what. Would be ok after opening the window for a few minutes. At regular prices, the hotel is not good value for money, way too expensive for what it is. At half price like we got, it's ok. Location isn't great, on the border between Beverly Hills and Hollywood -- so quite far from either city centres where most of the interest is."

- "Probably not fair to mention, but the meal I had at the roof top bar bistro was not very well executed. The coconut prawn dish was cooked till it was dry, tough and tasteless. The burger was okay, perhaps a bit wet. But the Pinot I had was superb, recommended by the excellent bar man, and the hostess was welcoming and personable. A great atmosphere in other words, but a look at the kitchen work is called for."
