About The Hat Madrid

The Hat Madrid is a modern and innovative hostel in the center of Madrid, a few metres away from places like Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol, La Latina neighborhood, Las Letras neighborhood, the Royal Palace and the Almudena Cathedral.

Besides being new and contemporary in design, it is noteworthy that it is the first establishment in the city of Madrid using biomass as energy source. It offers private and shared rooms all equipped with window for sunlight, air conditioning, wifi and private or shared bathroom.

It also offers services such as bicycle rental, tour guide to show the areas that may interest you from Madrid and free events. It has also an attic from which you can enjoy one of the best sunsets in the city, where you can also enjoy a relaxing drink.

Getting there

The Hat is located in the main touristic area, just 50 metres from Plaza Mayor. In less than 500 m you will find 3 Subway Stations and dozens of buses. How to get from Atocha rail station? Easy, take Line 1 and go to Sol Station, It takes 10 minutes. From there you just need to walk 5 minutes to the Hotel door. How to get from the Airport? It usually takes from 40 minutes to 60. The best way is using subway. Take line 8 towards Nuevos Ministerios, once you are there take the line C4 (short distance train, called "Cercanias") towards Parla and get off in Sol. From there it is just 5 minuts on foot. Taxi is also an interesting option since the price is fixed, just 30€ door to door.
