The Swinton Hotel has a convenient location, within easy walking distance of King"s Cross and St Pancras International Railway Station, which offers Eurostar train services to continental Europe. The British Library, Oxford Street, Covent Garden and Camden market are within easy reach, as are many music venues, theatres and restaurants.
The hotel has a 24-hour reception desk, a secluded garden and a lift for access to rooms on the upper floors.
All of the en suite rooms have showers or baths, along with TVs, telephones and tea/coffee. Selected rooms have direct access to the garden and some rooms have access to their own cooking facilities.
A continental breakfast is available every day and is provided in the dining room, which leads out to the garden.

- "Close to Kings Cross Station and very easy to find. Room was spotlessly clean and newly refurbished. Expect small (rather like many single rooms in BIG cities.....so leave your pets at home if you'd entertain swinging them around). I had a window on the street and wasn't kept awake. Had some trepidation as others had recently given Swinton Hotel a bad report, which wasn't what I found. Have stayed worse in/around this area for more££££ without the nice trimings of sachets shower and shampoo and soap and tea making facilities...and nice bikkies (appreciated 'cos I slept past brekkie time. Would stay there again as I use Kings Cross/St Pancras for my departure points when I visit UK. Would suggest if you're not extremely well travelled like I am.... go stay elsewhere if space required."

- "A general observation of small London hotels ..as with many in London I hate all the fire doors and narrow passageways & hope there's no smokers, careless people in residence which would require evacuation."

- "This hotel was a real let down for us. We paid £240.00 for a double room for three nights and were shocked at how run-down and dirty the place is. It certainly does not match the images provided on the website. It is claustrophobic and I would suggest a safety hazard. The breakfast is a slice of toast and coffee, (not great for the price). Staff are rude and abrupt, there is a warning not to leave your valuables in the room as the staff aren't liable for any theft that may occur... I can go on and on, but wont. I have travelled across the world, the Middle East, Europe, America, New Zealand etc... this is the worst place I have ever stayed."

- "The location was great. Handy for St Pancras. In a quiet street. And a great Vietnamese restaurant just around the corner. We simply needed a bed for the night before catching Eurostar so our expectations were not high. (Just as well!)"

- "It's shabby and cramped, the breakfast is pathetic and the guy on reception couldn't even manage a smile."
