- "I didn't like that when we checked in the staff was slow to let us in. The room was cold and it took the heat about an half hour to warm the room. There were no bath essentials in the room.we never received our breakfast. The staff didn't even mention it."

- "its wasnt clean there was a dead roach in the tub and it looked like mice were eating the food that was left for the new guest of my room"

- "The place is located in an area that does not have a good name. Fortunately we did not experience anything bad, though taxi drivers did ask us why we would stay in this part of town, implying it was not safe to go around after 10 pm."

- "The steam powered heater in my room made noise throughout the night and as a result i hardly slept. I could not locate the switch on the heater. When i contacted the receptionist and informed her that the heater was making a strange and loud sound she told me that it would soon stop. Hours later, i contacted her again because the heater was producing a sound which can be likened to what i imagine a pack of cats would sound like if thrown against a wall. The receptionist then came to my room and pushed aside a closet in order to locate the switch for the heater. If she had done that hours sooner, i would not have missed out on hours of sleep. When i explained this to the owner of Sugar Hill Suites the following morning, he did not even offer an apology. He was defensive and unprofessional. Sugar Hill Suites is a multi-storey brownstone without an elevator. Additionally its exterior is not well lit. There is nothing distinguishing it from all the other brownstones in that street and this means that you have to watch carefully at night to ensure that you or your driver does not fail to identify the place on your first arrival. I traveled to Sugar Hill Suites by train and the closest train stop to that place is not located in low income area which did not appear safe at night. I took a cab from the train to Sugar Hills. This place does not offer value for money and i will never stay there again."
