Great central location, 5 mins from station and literally seconds walk from the main shops. Owner Louise was so cheerful and helpful, nothing was too much trouble - from allowing us a later check out, ordering us taxis, and allowing us to leave our luggage there - she turned a pleasant, comfortable stay into a truly wonderful holiday experience. A note was even thoughtfully left out to say where the ironing board was kept should we wish to use it while she was out for her birthday (we did!)
Her immaculate and stylish guest house is like a homely haven from the noise of Newquay. The bedroom was very comfortable with great little touches like the powerful hair dryer, heated towel rail, tea/coffee/hot chocolate, ipod dock and the dvd player (although we didn't use the latter), and the bathroom was modern, spotless and beautifully decorated. Loved the colour scheme and exposed wood beams!
Breakfast (we had a full English although other options were available) was a veritable feast and served in a delightful dining room by a cheerful Louise. Again, nothing too much trouble!
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend staying here and of all the B&Bs I've stayed in, this has been by far the best." - Is there anything you didn't like?
- "The only small niggles (and they really are the only ones)... The bed (in room 1), although wonderfully comfortable was a tad on the small side. My fiance is 6'4 and his feet were completely over the edge. Could probably do away with the large chest of drawers to make more space in the room as there are drawers in the wardrobe anyway. I kept knocking the shower lever (which stuck out) with my back turning it hot or cold!"
