- "The hotel was excellent. I rang them from the UK and they arranged for a driver to pick us up from Lisbon airport. It is easy to catch the train into Lisbon and Lisbon has a simple undergroung and tram system. You buy a card for 50 cents and then this is loaded with either a days travel or more as required. Then you can use it on trains, trams and buses by passing it over a sensor. It is reasinably priced at about 3 euros per day.
The hotel has a dining room overlooking the sea and we could see dolphins swimming past! Brilliant. The food was good but quite expensive." - Is there anything you didn't like?
- "It is a 5 minute drive from Cascais- too far to walk and uphill coming back so you really need a taxi. We thought there was a courtesy bus but we were there in September and when we asked about this the staff did not seem to know anything about it. They did arrange for one of the staff to drive us to Cascais but didnot mention a return so we used taxis instead. These were reasonable and quick so we were not too worried about using them."
