- "My room was clean but had not had much maintenance carried out for a long time. There were stains on the lightshade, the blind was damaged and the noise of the hotel generator ALL NIGHT was terrible."

- "It is located in the senter of reading, with short acsess to shopping centres. Also bus servises to nearby towns like Henley and Marlow along the Thames river."

- "The hotel is old, and a bit worn down, but overall ok. I could do with elevators, we had to carry the luggage up two stairs."

- "Price, the fact it looked so retro 70's/80's"

- "Mattress comfort, location of single bed room (top floor up narrow steep winding staircase - nightmare for older people or with bulky suitcase), unusual layout of room, "bunk" style of bed - too high off floor and could trip up stairs to bathroom. Not a very good room. Too warm. Quality of breakfast was actually not enjoyable, with extreme fatty bacon (more fat than bacon), sugary (from concentrate) fruit juice and ham that tasted like it had been left out for so long that it was starting to taste off! had to leave on side of plate."
