- "Puerta Escondida was an excellent choice for my 3 day and night stay in Valparaiso. The location at the top and center of Cerro Concepcion was perfectly convenient for restaurants and cafes, sightseeing as well as for the funicular ride down to the bottom of the hill.
The room, and especially the bed, was so comfortable that I didn't want to get out of bed in the morning. The entire hotel was spotless, and felt more like a good friends house than a hotel.
Andres the owner was extremely helpful and always with a smile on his face. I would recommend Puerta Escondida for any kind of traveler who enjoys all of the above in a hotel. It's not too uncommon to find a decent price in a hotel, but it is uncommon to find an excellent value. Puerta Escondida was the best and most pleasant hotel I found in my 4 weeks in S. America."
