- "Small family hotel in a tiny village, lovely views, so peaceful. We booked dinner and Mamas cooking was good.Nice breakfast on the terrace."

- "We were looking for a typical Spanish village hotel / hostal in the
hills adjacent to a National Park. Meson de Colungo fitted the bill
perfectly for our two night stay. Food was wholesome typically simple
Spanish, ie not suitable for vegetarians. They made their own wine a
beautiful full bodied Grenache red, free from preservatives and
hangovers. A shame they didn't bottle it for sale. The landlord did
however give us a complimentary bottle loosely corked to take away with
us when we checked out. Language could be difficult if you are limited
to English. The clients tended to be Spanish or French although they say
there is an increase in English guests. There is an information centre
close to the hotel very helpful staff offering guided walks to see cave
paintings and they will also advise on wildlife sites etc. The museum at
the centre is very detailed and well structured. The video about the
early civilisations is worth seeing for the entertainment value. Am
convinced that Armstrong & Miller had been there and pinched the idea
for their caveman sketches."
