- "Markiz Konaklan is a charming country boutique hotel. The setting is
beautiful and it is a short, if a bit rugged walk to the village of
Sirence, with its crafts, food, and fruit wine to sample. The staff are
wonderful. The food is delicious. The breakfast is traditional Turkish
combination of bread, olives, cheese, etc., but if you ask, eggs from
the chickens raised on the property are available and terrific! As it
turned out, I had a coronary medical emergency in the middle of the
night. The support and caring that my wife and I both received was truly
far beyond what I would expect from people I didn't know well. They not
only helped to save my life, but my wife's sanity!"
