"This wonderful hotel has its 'heritage' buildings and entrance, recognised everywhere thanks to the televised Inspector Morse; but it also features modern, comfortable rooms, with room-service to match. It was just 'home-from-home' for two nights!"

- "The building and interior is very grand. Rooms were large."

- "wifi in the bar area barely worked the whole evening - about 5 people sat using it. Turned up the thermostat to warm as it was cold outside, woke up freezing at 3 am. Blankets on beds are cheap - should have duvets. Turns out the heating wasn't on. Receptionist in the morning said that I should have asked for a portable heater. Doesn't appear very 5 start to me. Corridors in places look worn as does the carpet throughout."

- "For £300 a night the room was very basic. I booked quite late and there was not much availability in Oxford but have stayed in other hotels which were better value for money. Try the Malmaison."
