- "The Love Time Hotel is situated in one of the most convenient locations in Rio. It is on a main avenue within walking distance of metro, buses, taxis, parks, pharmacies, restaurants, and bakeries. It is unusually safe because it is alongside a police station. There is one very knowledgeable person at the desk who speaks English well and is very helpful. The hotel relies on a fleet of taxis that are thoroughly reliable and charge by the taximeter. For these features, alone, the Love Time Hotel is one of the best choices for a hotel in Rio."

- "The Love Time Hotel is a "Motel" which in Latin America is a trysting place. Rooms have hourly rates for pick-ups, prostitutes, clandestine meetings by teenagers, adulterers, and so on. During my stay there were conventional visitors like business people who were concerned about budgets, as well as a transvestite and a hooker. The rooms are outfitted with mirrors on the ceilings and an odd piece of furniture that appears to be made for creative love-making. I am an older woman who was alone, attending a conference; no one bothered me. One has to weigh the pros as well as the cons of this unusual hotel-motel."
