- "We booked fairly late for the Mule Days Celebration in Bishop - so I took what I could get. I was very pleased with our whole La Quinta Bishop experience.
We were greeted at check- in - with FRESH baked cookies and "gift bags" that had asst goodies - and a FREE water bottle. (I have arrived at resorts and look longingly at the HIGH priced water bottles - sigh).
We were squarely in the middle of the Mule Days Festivities - we could "walk" to restaurants, see the parade, visit "the Park" which had tons of vendors etc.
I called ahead and mentioned I did not do "stairs" and the hotel receptionist said she would make sure we were downstairs :-) made my stay! Accommodations were nice - and yes as written before their bathrooms are tiny but doable. OH!!! My favorite part - the beds were TRIPLE SHEETED! YAY!! I personally hate feeling a blanket when I sleep - this establishment puts a FLAT SHEET over the blanket - just like my new MIL taught me to do when I married her fabulous son 43 years ago. - "The bathrooms were tiny - but unless you have major reconstruction - have to live with that. The carpets are due for cleaning or replacement (at least in my room) I missed having a "mini refrigerator in my room."
