- What did you like the most?
- "The location is convenient to the Lyndhurst, within 10 minutes. The forest is over the road from this small hotel, with plenty of interesting walks. You can see wild horses and a few cows. Hotel has an indoor pool and the water is warm. The owners worked on the QE2 ship in catering for 10 years and the breakfast is very good. You order from a menu, which has the full range with good size portions and is very tasty. Breakfast room has lots of pictures and memorabilia from the QE2. There is a small bar, not sure how often they open it for guests. Breakfast room is pleasant. Owners are easy to talk to, and enjoy a chat. There are lots of brochures in the foyer to the hotel. There is a small farmers market over the weekend in the village."
- Is there anything you didn't like?
- "The picture of the hotel looks fabulous, but it is unfortunately taken from the forest side and what you don't see is a very busy road between the forest and the small hotel. The traffic from cars is very loud at night, if noise bothers you definately request a room at the back or on the side. The rooms are very farm like and could use some refreshment. Mini bar in room with some snacks and cooldrinks. The bed is very hard and I was unable to sleep at night. I reported this, not sure if specific to room 11 only. To save costs there is no staff at reception, you ring a bell and hope someone is nearby to tend to you. Checkout is fast and efficient in the morning. Car park small. Sign on the white picket fence advert handyman services?"

- "Comfortable,clean cosy dining room, super value for money. Excellent breakfast, and my wife loved the swimming pool. My wife and I will definitely return."

- "Although it did not affect our short stay, but on our arrival, the welcomer rarely opened his mouth, failing to give us any information regarding breakfast times, or indeed if dinner was available. During our two days, we never saw anyone on duty at the reception desk. It didn't worry us, but some people do require guidance. Otherwise all was okay."
