Rooms were also very good. Spacious and with the pre of having a whirlpool in your own bathroom. Great stay. I will be coming back for sure."

- What did you like the most?
- "The hotel is high above the compact little industrial town of Ermua - a
very quiet location which is a complete contrast to the town far below.
A quiet and beautiful location with mountain views. The traditional
house has been converted to a very high standard (including a lift). We
had a superior room that had a comfortable bed - a rare find in Spain
where they either seem to be hard or lumpy or both. The two people who
run it are very obliging and will produce a home cooked evening meal, at
the hour of your choosing - so no waiting around for the restaurant to
open at 9pm, as can happen often in Spain. There is just the small
restaurant, for guests only, so no late night noise. The meals are good
and portions large. We also liked the fact that it is possible to take a
walk from the hotel - either up the mountainside through the trees, or
by picking up a long distance footpath below the hotel, one that wends
through woodland and rural lanes - but can take in the town as well
(which is better viewed on foot than by car!) a good spot for chilling
out or a nice stop off if you are travelling across northern Spain. Or
want to visit the cities and mountains from a strategic location." - Is there anything you didn't like?
- "It was hard to find - Satnav did not seem to know about the Ermua autopista exit (less than 10 mins from hotel) and did not recognise the address of the hotel. Even when you are on the right road it looks as if you are driving into a quarry car park. Best to call for instructions - the manager speaks fluent English and French. It has no wifi at the moment, which I found rather relaxing. But from a business customer's point of view this could be a problem."
