- "Location, the manageress is helpful and managed to change my room at no extra charge"

- "The room I got was small and windowless - not the sort of room you feel like coming back to. I suggest for single travellers to pay an extra 5 euros a night to get a double room here."

- "I stayed with two girl friends of mine at Hotel Pera Capitol for 6
days/5 nights. To start with, it has an ideal location, just off the
busiest Istiklal Avenue (less than 3 minute walk) and a 15 minute walk
to Taksim Square which connects you to the main transportation modes to
all other parts of Istanbul. If you are too tired to walk in this
incredible street full of shopping stores and Turkish foods to reach
Taksim Square, you can also take the above ground tram from a very
nearby stop. Hotel Staff were extremely friendly and helpful,
particularly the morning staff. They would give great advice and
directions as well as call taxis for us whenever needed. As for the
hotel itself, it is perfect value for money. The breakfast was fair and
had coffee (despite reading previous reviews that said there was none).
Previous reviews also complained about the noisiness of the street. Out
of 5 nights, we felt that 1 night was quite noisy but not in a bad way.
If you're tired and want to sleep, you still can and if not, you can
hang out at any pubs or restaurants on the street and enjoy the Turkish
nightlife and culture. The street is also very safe to walk in at any
time of day. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone who would like to
spend a low budget on accomodation, yet still have a clean and nice
place to stay in."

- "The room was nice and cosy and the location was excellent in terms of
the shopping street Istiklal caddesi and within a walking distance to
the historical attractions of Sultanahmet. The area is full of
restaurants, cafés and clubs so in the evening time you don´t need to
travel far. The staff was friendly and also the breakfast was ok." - Is there anything you didn't like?
- "During weekend the street was so crowded and the noise from the bars was so loud that it was a bit disturbing if you weren´t clubbing until late yourself. However, that is a risk that you have to take if you want to stay so close to the bars & restaurants."
