- "hotel palma real was very budget friendly. it was cleaned daily and had a nice view for birding on the back deck or roof. the pool was nice and the staff let us use the fridge. we met other travelers there and were able to congregate in the lobby without interruption. the location is great for traveling to Coba and back or even to Tulum and back. The A/C worked great."

- "don't expect the staff to speak any english or for the tv's in the rooms to work. these things didn't really bother us though."

- "I liked the staff and the cheap price of the very basic rooms."

- "The proximity to Coba is a bit odd. If you're interested in Tulum or Coba you should stay in one of those two places, as this hotel is 1/2 way between each, so it really only makes sense if you're on a very tight budget. Also, get breakfast somewhere else as it was very expensive there."
