- "Beautiful surroundings in a nicely restored/converted ancient Spanish outpost. Louis and JInny are wonderful hosts who will go the extra mile for you. If you are looking for quiet solitude in a remote part of the country, this is your place. We had a superior room which had 2 levels and plenty of space."
- Is there anything you didn't like?
- "The road to the inn is @ 4.5km of very rough unpaved road. Some the the corners are really close to a several hundred meter drop. Not recommended for night driving. Note that some may enjoy this challenge, but you will surely need your own transportation, as there is no way you could catch a taxi or any other form of transportation."

- "I have never stayed somewhere so utterly silent. We were the only people staying at Mas de la Serra and you could literally hear a pin drop
Jenny and Luis are wonderful hosts. Lovely people and very attentive. There is potential to see lots of ibex - we sat watching them munch through the garden one night over dinner. We could hear them chomping loudly on almonds in the dark.
Beautiful swimming pool with views over miles of unbroken countryside
The house is very beautiful with comfortable rooms. Ours had a big terrace, which was perfect for sun-bathing and watching the ibex
Jenny cooks lovely meals. Breakfast was a real treat sitting on the terrace in the sun.
Nearby hotel Torre del Visco is nice, albeit a bit sterile, for lunch / dinner if you can brave the 5.5km dirt track after a glass of wine. ?50 pp including wine. Dinner at Mas de la Serra is ?30 pp excluding wine.
Dinner in Valderobbres was highly entertaining. Certainly no frills, but decent enough food, very cheap and lovely people wherever we went." - Is there anything you didn't like?
- "The website advertises a gym, but it just comprises two sets of hand weights in a room. Bike hire - ?50 per person was steep with lunch another ?8 on top. The bikes were poor (gears on my bike were broken so I had to free-wheel for the full 2.5 hours) and lights didnt work well (needed for tunnels on the cycle route). My boyfriend looked as though he was sitting on a Shetland pony (at 6ft5), which was uncomfortable for 2.5 hours. This is a very cheap part of the country, which makes prices at Mas de la Serra feel expensive - not prohibitively so, but we didnt come away thinking it was a bargain. Note - the Mas is in the middle of nowhere. There is very litte in Fuentespalda and Valderrobres is a 20 min drive away (or ?20 each way with Luis / taxi). Not a problem if you are happy to be secluded. Highly recommended nonetheless. We had a wonderful stay."
