- "The refurbishment has destroyed the character of the inside of the hotel. The bar which was lovely and warm and colourful is now drab and miserable. It is full of greys and beige colours. Very uninviting. The whole downstairs area has interior designer written all over it. Even the wonderful Christmas Tree has been replaced by an awful trendy white collection of things. I must have stayed at Longueville 50 times. I think it is now just an average hotel. The inside of the place is a poor version of the interior of the Atlantic. I would come for dinner but I don't think I will be back to stay. Such a shame."
