- What did you like the most?
- "Excellent location, right on the port. We had room at the back which suited us as plenty of noise on the sea front. Basic room but good size and clean and staff pleasant. Nothing luxurious here but cant beat it for location. We stayed 5 nights & enjoyed our stay"
- Is there anything you didn't like?
- "Breakfast only available in your room which we had on first morning. But all the restaurants right beside hotel serve the exact same for a lot less (?5.50) & you can sit and enjoy the view of the port. Breakfast is orange juice, roll, croissant & coffee in all places. wi-fi in room was not strong & kept dropping & TV is on top of wardrobe & hard to see, but had very few stations and no english speaking news stations anyway, but we were on hols and not in room too much so neither wi-fi or tv much of a big deal for us"

The decor in the room was quirky, modern and had a nautical, summery feel."

- "2 flights of stairs up to the reception."

- What did you like the most?
- "Hotel La Marine is a charming seaside hotel perfectly situated right on the waterfront in La Rochelle. The hotel staff are helpful and friendly and we appreciated their advice about dining options (of which their are many in La Rochelle) Our room was comfortable, clean and suprisingly spacious with the added bonus of a wonderful view of the harbour."

- "There is no lift and the stairs could be a bit of a challenge for some people however we managed and, if required, the hotel staff are happy to carry bags up to the rooms."

Air conditioning was a God send as it was during a 38 degree heatwave !" - Is there anything you didn't like?
- "Parking was a reasonable walk away from the hotel ( 10/15mins ) which wasn't practical for getting stuff to and from the hotel without havig to stop the car in front of the hotel ( not practical in summer evenings as you can't get through ) Breakfast was only offered in room as is not part of the restaurants below"
