- "First impression of my room wasn't "wow" but as I wasn't going to spend much time there it was all I could want."

- "A classic modernista era family run hotel (it was previously their home). We loved it because there were keys, not key cards, the furniture is all old fashioned but everything was clean and light and original. Original stone floor tiling may not be to everyone's taste and it is basic (no phone in the room, small TV but those for me are plusses) The swimming pool is small but perfect, the breakfasts charming and the staff open and friendly without being too much. The beach is a short walk away and it's very near the train station (30 mins to Barcelona) and bus stop (30 mins to airport). Will definitely stay there again and indeed would go out of our way to do so."

- "The restaurant in the evening looks lovely but we were tight for time and they only serve a set menu so there wasn't time to eat there. Such a tiny thing not to like!"

- "Location excellent, and quiet enough. Lovely garden and exterior. Lovely
interior - original features and style, and a bit shabby chic which is
worth paying a little more for. Nice and plentiful breakfast. Obviously
a noted historical building in Sitges as tour guides were always
stopping outside the gates to show it to people. We were allowed to
leave our luggage after checking out and to sit in the garden for a
couple of hours before leaving. Staff spoke English and were always
pleasant and helpful." - Is there anything you didn't like?
- "Floor in our room needed tiles polishing and sealing."

- "The Modernisme archtecture was stunning. The interior and furnishings at
El Xalet, wher breakfast is taken was wonderful. Contrary to previous
comment, we found the family, and staff pleasant and helpful." - Is there anything you didn't like?
- "The terrace furniture was old and not clean, and generally ill equiped. I don't recall mention when booking that this was an annexe to the El Xalet Hotel. Only one set of keys, including the external door,which given that it was an annexe, security relied on locking the external door, so very inconvenient for couples who may be doing differnt things and arriving back at different times. The cleaning lady was delightful, and did an exellent job in the room and bathroom, but pressure of work, obviously prevented her venturing onto the terrace, so again not clean. Over all, apart from the admittedly stunning archtecture, the experience was the of an average B&B at Hotel prices."
