- "Beautiful, comfortable rooms; friendly and helpful staff; unique historic Alhambra-inspired building; hearty breakfast; pool; gorgeous gardens and view all the way to the sea; internet access; walking distance to historic sites in city. We were fortunate to receive a mesmerizing tour of the impressive art featured throughout the building."

- "Wished we could have stayed longer, especially to take advantage of the enticing pool."

- "This is one of the loveliest and most unusual hotels we have ever stayed in. Jessica was a wonderful hostess and very helpful. the breakfasts were excellent and it was very friendly talking to other guests from different countries as we all sat around a big table."

- "It is always a pleasure to explore a working town but La Ortavia needs to make more effort to inform tourists of its many attractions.There was a a limited number of decent restaurant in which to eat in the evenings, although the Hotel Victoria had a wonderful chef who produced superb food."
