The hotel?s comfortable bedrooms all feature en suite bathrooms, air conditioning and satellite TV. The Portal de l'Angel maintains much of its original design.
The hotel restaurant, El Jardí de l?Angel serves a range of Catalan dishes and guests can dine on the pool-side terrace.
The famous Las Ramblas is less than 200 metres away, whilst Passeig de Gràcia and Gaudí?s Casa Batlló can be reached in around 10 minutes, by foot. Barcelona Cathedral is just over 100 metres from the hotel.
The Catalonia has easy access to transport links and is just a 5-minute walk from Catalunya Metro and Railway Station, as well as several bus connections. For reservations for more than 5 rooms, a prepayment is required:

The hotel?s new exterior swimming pool is available from the 20 June 2008 onwards. It features a waterfall and comes surrounded by a decked sun terrace.

- "The room smelt when we arrived. Although they tried to get rid of the smell - it lingered... Not sure if it was animal or stale cigarette - but it meant that we kept the doors open whenever we were in the room (seems a waste of electricity having the air conditioner on and the windows open)"

- "The hotel was really fantastic; the ambiance, quality of the decor, friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and the location were all wonderful. Highly recommended!"

- "I thouroughly enjoyed my stay at the hotel as it was recommended by ppl that I met at Budapest Airport. I would definitely stay there again as I thought the location and the service was excellent."

- "This is an excellent hotel. It is fairly small, which I like, yet very
professional. They aim to please. I got a balcony room looking out to
the pool and courtyard in back (if you do for a balcony, don't go
for 4th floor b/c the walls are too high to look over). Excellent
full, extensive, healthy breakfast. Balcony nice to sit outside with a
bottle of wine and some Spanish ham, cheese and bread at night. Room a
good size. Clean. You can lounge all day around the pool, or do an
unlimited number of things in Barcelona. 1 block from the Placa
Cataluyna where the EuroBus from the airport drops you; same location as
the city tourists bus, so you couldn't be better located. On a wide
shopping street that goes right down into the Barcelona Cathedral and
the Gothic quarter. One block from the Rambla. Close to great
restaurants." - Is there anything you didn't like?
- "Hotel does not have dedicated concierge so if you are high maintenance for services, you would probably need to use a tourist office, even though they do try to be very helpful."
