- "No bar facilities apparent and no services offered during day eg lunch, snacks, coffee etc but possible that they would be given if asked. If at pool all day (we were not because of weather) then apparent lack of amenities could be disappointing. Kettle etc in room would have been appreciated."

- "Dining room rather cold. Heating did not cope with unseasonably low temperatures."

- "Superb location, stunning views, beautiful old building, and grounds very well kept."

- "My understanding of a 'Hostellerie' did not match the fine-dining prices in the restaurant, so we did not eat there. The building is really great, however, we seemed to have a room in a newer part, which was not symphathetically decorated. So in the room we did not get the feel of the site at all."
