- "A charming and historic roadside Inn (Marie Antoinette is said to have stayed here). The hotel extends away from the road which is not obtrusive; charming ambience; the scenery and walks roundabout are lovely; food good; service pleasant; our room was large, almost a suite. There is even a tiny and beautiful c 1500 chapel in the grounds; and the tiny local train station (some free travel for guests) is 2 mins away. We would come again."

- "It is possible that some rooms may be affected by road noise -- ours was not."

- "Something particularly special about this place - the staff couldn't do enough for you - the room was simple but lovely. Excellent value for money. Free rail pass into Freiburg or to Titisee was a bonus - station on the doorstep but no noise. A real gem."

- "The location is excellent for trips to Freiburg and the surrounding mountains and lakes. The guest pass which is included in the price allows free travel on all trains and busses within the entire county, and the train station is just outside the hotel with trains every half hour. The train takes about 15 min to Freiburg central. Food is very good as well."

- "The building is right next to a very frequented road, but this is not really a problem and the building itself is quiet."
