- "Buyer beware-The rate for my second night was $10 more than the first night, even though booking.com gave me a special offer with specific quote of 140 per night for both nights. This was a mid week booking, and the hotel was more full the first night than the second, so it wasn't really a demand issue. The hotel clerk told me that booking.com says rates may change. Didn't really notice any such statement when I made the booking. This was just a business taking advantage of a traveler far from home. Also, we tried to get a late breakfast around 11 am-- coffee shop was closed till 11:30, so we had to go elsewhere."
