- What did you like the most?
- "As one of the only hotels in Akyaka the Filika has its own beachfront (well, actually a jetty but that's still great). The water there is very clean but also rather cold as the nearby fresh water streams enter the sea at this bay. As the location is slightly out of town you would ideally need a car to move around though. Walking into town will take a good 20 minutes.
All rooms are sea-facing and look fairly new (apparently the hotel is only 3 years old)." - Is there anything you didn't like?
- "The place seems to be primarily frequented by Turkish tourists so only one or two of the staff members actually speak English. We had a four bed room which was tiny and got covered with sand from the kitesurfing beach very quickly. Unfortunately rooms are not cleaned daily. In fact we had to repeatedly ask for our room to be cleaned which was slightly annoying. The beds are also not the most comfortable ones."

- "The room, although small, was very nicely decorated, the staff were attentive, and the location, in an isolated bay yet close to a touristic centre, is priceless. The food was excellent, and especially the 'mezze' were of superior quality."
- Is there anything you didn't like?
- "One of the owners, who unfortunately works at the reception, has a touch of the Basil Fawltys, i.e., an extremely short fuse, and is not beyond yelling at guests if they ask for something. Fortunately, this is made up for by the other man in charge, who is extremely friendly, helpful and just very nice. The room was also a little overpriced, although the sea view from the balcony is lovely."
