- "The staff were very friendly and efficient, and very helpful in making our two night stay a real treat. It was in a very attractive area, and perfect for our "Yorkshire moors" holiday. The food was excellent with a good number of choices and always served with a smile! We'd certainly return when we are next planning a holiday in Yorkshire."

- "Only one small criticism; we had a lovely room, very comfortable bed, but the shower room was a bit too small. The doors to the shower didn't close properly, and the glass shelf above the sink was a bit too close when teeth cleaning etc. But the room was really lovely, with fantastic views."

- "Good food, clean room, parking close by."
- Is there anything you didn't like?
- "Staff slightly impersonal (as if they had had their personalities surgically removed), location of hotel bloody remote (and no mobile signal at all so couldn't contact anyone unless used the nearby street pay phone!), and slightly overpriced for being what is essentially a pub stop-over. Also, given it was a pub it had absolutely no atmosphere, and hardly any locals frequented it."
