The building had bags of character and ambience, with very sttractive rooms. The full english breakfast was very tasty, service was excellent and all our needs were catered for without fuss. There was car parking available at no extra cost, which is a big bonus. Everything about the hotel was perfect for our humble needs and I would highly recommened the hotel to any couples like us looking for a romantic place while visiting York. Thank you to Julie the manageress for a lovely stay."

- "The bedroom Number 13 was extremely small,Dated,and no roof space to walk around.. The facilities to get ready none existent,eg Mirror not near any plug points. The so called bathroom was dark tiny and dismal. The owners staff admitted it was a pet hate room and offered a discount of 20.00 per night as they were aware of previous issues raised."
