- "Little pousada right in front of the beach! Clean and friendly staff.
Good drinks at the beach bar and relax in the sauna." - Is there anything you didn't like?
- "If you don't have kids, that's the wrong place to go. The place were full of kids, most of them unpolite. The owners were in the hotel but would not greet or spend a word with us."

- "First of all, the location and view of the place are unbeatable. You
stay literally in the Geribá beach, the largest one in Buzios. The hotel
pool is in a balcony over the beach, so when you get tired of the sand
or the sea, you just have to walk a few steps, go up a little stairway
and dive into the perfectly cool hotel swimming pool. The crew is nice
and friendly and they solve every need you present in time and in a very
effective way. The room is clean and gives us the impression of a
regular maintenance effort, since every little corner is painted, clean
and thought-of carefully. The breakfast is very good, rich and is server
always in advance considering the timetable they let you know when you
arrive - every day we would go down earlier and there was already a
breakfast served. They offer a very good afternoon tea, which is a
demonstration of how they differentiate themselves from other places.
One day there was even a singer, only for the guests. Nice quiet music,
very relaxing and amusing. There is no restaurant in the place, but they
offer drinks and snacks throughout the day. Everything we had was
perfectly cooked, nice, well seasoned. The drinks and cocktails are also
a very nice touch. The cleaning service is fantastic, on-time and
careful. Oh, and a very nice touch: when we arrived in the first day,
they left us chocolates and a nice moisture soap over the bed with a
greeting card. We needed ice to travel, when we left, and the kitchen
lady helped us promptly when asked, although it was before 8 o'clock
in the morning and the breakfast was being served. It was a very good
experience and we would surely recommend Chez Pitu to anyone." - Is there anything you didn't like?
- "The only three things we would suggest Chez Pitu to work on are: 1) the time they spent preparing the snacks. Some would come out real quickly and some took an hour and a half. Since the dishes are permanent and their crew is seasoned, it's something they could easily fix, I guess. 2) The roller blinds were installed backwards in some cases. For instance, the curtain on the bathroom stall allows whoever is outside of the bathroom to see everything the person taking a shower is doing. It ruins your privacy while having a bath. And one of the curtains on the room window was installed on the right side but very forward, so the screen wasn't easily sliding through its rail, allowing people outside to peak inside our room. Minor problems, also easily fized if they call the company that installed the curtains to redo a few installations. 3) the last minor issue was the lack of a mosquito screen outside the bathroom window. If there was one, we could keep that window open and get our swinsuits dry faster. But with the amount of gnats outside, it was impossible. None of the problems we had were relevant enough, so we would go back to Chez Pitu with pleasure."

- "The hotel seemed to be rather "faded glory" and we felt the decor etc was "tired". The pool was small and rather dirty and the feel of the rooms was more back packer than luxury. No one on the staff spoke a word of English so it was very difficult even to find out where the local shops were. Once you are at the hotel that is it, there's nowhere to go without a drive and the description of Buzios as the St Tropez of Brazil is generous to say the least. It's all very downbeat and quite shabby in places. Neither the hotel nor the surroundings matched the glowing descriptions on the web."
