- "The hotel was lovely - the location was beautiful, particularly the beach and the walkways from the main reception area to the beach. It was a pleasure to walk around & the ceynote was beautiful to look at, at night. The quality of food was excellent & the waiting & domestic staff were fantastic. The whole hotel was spotless & well looked after."
- Is there anything you didn't like?
- "The only negitive comment I could make is that the bar staff at the pool bar could be a little aloof - we assume that unlike most of the american people there, we were not tipping a dollar each time we got a drink from them - we felt that this caused us to be looked over and served last as a result. We prefered to tip at the end of each day, but this behaviour made us feel that it wasn't deserved - it was a little disappointing. Another thing that infuriated me was that when we were speaking to the reception staff and the phone rang, they'd cut you off to answer the phone mid sentence... Not good - deal with the customer in hand and let the phone ring, rather then have both customers waiting. This also happend to me when I was calling from my room to ask for a doctor for my husband - being worried about him etc I didn't appreciate being told to wait & put on hold."

- "The area is nice, most of it is like a tropical forest, although a
groomed one, with a bit of untouched mangrove. The beach is clean,
although there was quite a bit of seaweed in the sea most days; the
hotel is in the middle of it and there's enough space to walk both ways
if you like. A few small local animals on the territory of the hotel,
very used to people. Fresh fruit, fresh fruit juice in the morning and
there is some good food to be found in the buffet or menu every meal." - Is there anything you didn't like?
- "Didn't like the service, or rather unfriendliness of the personnel which is one thing I expected to be excellent in Mexico from a trip to another hotel in the area. Many people were actually quite friendly, especially the cleaning staff, but you would run into one at the reception or at one of the restaurants who seems to have a bad day every day. Alcoholic drinks and cocktails are for the unpretentious, in the poolside bar drinks are served in very worn and tired plastic glasses."
