What did you like the most?
"The room smelled and did not seem clean. The bedding, the room decor, and the furniture were old and tired."

What did you like the most?
"A pleasant surprise. We have been coming to Santa Barbara for at least thirty years, and I know we have either stayed at Cabrillo Inn, or at least driven by in the past. So I know it is not a brand new hotel/motel. Regardless, the Inn was extremely well maintained, and the room and amenities were spotless. The bed was comfortable, and the furnishings were functional. Unfortunately, we were only in town for an overnight stay, so the Inn served our purposes well. Next time we come, we will take advantage of the fact that the Inn is across the street from the strand, offering a great opportunity for a sunset stroll. We travel a lot, and we have stayed in numerous hotels and motels. Some old, some new. We've had good and bad experiences. The number one impression a place makes is the person at the front desk. The person I dealt with was friendly and helpful. Kudos to him. Overall, our short stay was pleasant and satisfying."
Is there anything you didn't like?
"Not that I didn't like it... but it was different. The sliding glass entry doors into the unit was unlike any place I had ever been. At first I was concerned about "privacy", but I realized that it was not easy to look into the unit through the darkened doors, unless all the lights were on in the unit and the (thick) drapes were wide open. But if nothing else, the glass doors provided a great panoramic view."
