What did you like the most?
"Staff were very helpful and friendly. It is well placed in the centre of Battle and suited me as I had to be within easy reach of The Abbey."

What did you like the most?
"the evening staff were friendly and helpfull the breakfast staff were still asleep."
Is there anything you didn't like?
"the light in our rather dated bathroom didnt work, the toilet leaked all over the floor the water from the leak soaked the floor in the bedroom. they tried to offer us an altenative room but were fully booked so we settled for a reduction. There were no notices regarding fire or whom to contact at night on sight in our room or in the hallway. There was no shower in the bathroom and the water pressure was so low that it would have taken ages to fill the bath."

Is there anything you didn't like?
"Old computer system prevented me seeing my wife when I skyped her (only audio worked). Also, the only two lights in the room were very dim and could not read at night."

What did you like the most?
"So close to visit many other places of interest. We arrived on the Friday
and that night Battle Rocks was on in the recreation ground with a Hog roast. Bands were brilliant. Saturday after a full english breakfast we ventured around the Battle Abbey and Battlefield which was very interesting. That evening we drove to Bexhill on Sea where the sea was
so calm and a beautiful pink sky. The Italian Job bus was tilting over the edge of the Del a Warr building. We fully recommend the Turkish
Restaurant, good food and friendly. Sunday was the Bentley and Wild Fowl. Monday Bodium Castle and Batemans House where Rudyard Kipling lived. The Abbey Hotel served up delicious meals and it being a Shepherd Neame Inn as well obviously it sold the best beers and ales in the town. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The patrons were a friendly amusing bunch too. Would recommend the Abbey Hotel to one and all. We will be going back there soon."
