What did you like the most?: "The suites were huge and all the rooms were very modern. Spacious
bathrooms - the handicapped accessible suite was perfect for my mother
who needed support / grab bars in the bathroom. Amazing staff members -
they went out of their way to ensure all our needs were met. I selected
this particular hotel based on 1) the close proximity to Lackland afb--
my family was attending my nephew's graduation from Basic Military
Training, and 2) the comfort and overall quality of the rooms. I visited
several hotels before settling on the Best Western Plus Atrea."
Is there anything you didn't like?: "Although the hotel is visible from the highway, it is very tricky to get to - I lost my way numerous times - didn't figure out the best route until my third day! Even though it is only a couple of miles from the Valley Hi gate going into Lackland afb, it is probably the most difficult hotel in that area to navigate to and from. I was shocked at the high price of the rooms, but all the hotels close to the base are fairly costly. I was appeased by the quality of the hotel - definitely far superior to other hotels I looked at and it exceeded my expectations."
