Boasting a striking design and impressive works of art, this elegant 4-star hotel offers tastefully furnished rooms and a quiet location in the Heckinghausen district of Wuppertal.
The Art Fabrik Hotel is a unique hotel in a historic factory building which used to belong to the family of Marx and Engels. Every 3 months, the Art Fabrik Hotel hosts a new exhibition by young, contemporary artists to raise money for 8 children"s hospitals.
On checking in, you can visit the hotel"s unoccupied rooms and choose the one that you prefer. Some of the rooms have a private sauna, a wooden bathtub or a PC.
More than 80 artists were involved in the design of the hotel and helped to shape the stunning restaurant, café, art gallery and the Persian hamam.
Guests also enjoy free parking, several free drinks, free admission to the gallery, and complimentary Wi-Fi internet access throughout the hotel.

- "Free bus+train ticket, late check-in no problem."
- Is there anything you didn't like?
- "Sheets stank of smoke despite non-smoking room, bins not emptied on arrival. And the bathtub was so oddly positioned (in a huge bathroom) that you couldn't stand up in it to shower!"

- "It was the only hotel left for the dusseldorf conference. It was a long way from dusseldorf and the conference. the hotel was well run and the staff very helpful so it made up for the distance"

- "I didn't have a refrigerator in my room and would have liked one. Next time, I'll know to ask for one."

- "I liked the Turkish hammam spa! Breakfast was also fine!"

- "The hotel is overrated for a 4 star hotel. The room didn't seem to be very clean and the bed was so small that my foot could touch the other end of the bed when I was sleeping. There was a fly in my room flying. The hotel decoration was gloomy and ugly. There were no staff in hotel to help you carrying your suitcases."
