What did you like the most?: "The proximity of the hotel to Edinburgh Castle is a big plus. And I generally just enjoy the Grassmarket area with the variety of restaurants and shopping. We also had a rental car after a week spent driving around the highlands, and required parking before returning the car to the airport. Apex International was convenient in all these regards, in addition to being comfortable and friendly to our budget."

What did you like the most?: "The location was excellent on Grassmarket, close to local shops and a
different range of eating and drinking establishments. It is virtually
next door to Edinburgh Castle although you have to climb many steps or a
steep hill to get to it. It is also close to museums and art galleries.
We parked our car at the hotel and walked everywhere. Reception staff
were very helpful."
Is there anything you didn't like?: "Our room was a little tired and could have benefitted from new decoration and better quality wardrobe furniture. I think the hotel charges could be cheaper."

Is there anything you didn't like?: "It was a bit noisy late at night, if you have the windows open as you are opposite late night pubs/bars - as well as if people congregate outside on the terrace late too. I was on the 3rd floor up and I could still hear the chatter..."
