- "The location is great, close to the Praca da Republica and in walking
distance to the docks and main sights of Belém. The hostel attracts
interesting people, many individual travelers, foreign as well as
Brazilian. The communal area make it easy to meet other travelers. It is
a very sociable place." - Is there anything you didn't like?
- "The dorm rooms are a bit small, cramped and they smell stuffy. Because the hostel is located in an old wooden plantation house, the whole place smells kind of dusty. Furthermore Belém can get really hot, and then the dorms get hot too during the day because the aircon is only turned on at 9 pm. All in all, I would recommend the Amazonia Hostel for individual travelers, because the advantage of meeting other travelers is for me more important than the comfort of a hotel."
