The public library of Valencia is located in the crossing of Old hospital of Valencia, which was declared as the National monument of history and arts in the year 1963.It occupies a surface area of 3982 m2. It forms part of the network of public libraries in Valencia (Xarxa de Bibliteques Publiques) and network of State Public Libraries (REBECA). One of the main objectives of this library is to facilitate access and diffusion of information. The cross of old Hospital is conserved, the pharmacy and named "El Capitulet", chapel of rectangular area with mixed line gable, crowned by a belfry. The interior is a narrow nave with three sections of quadrant vault.
