What did you like the most?: "The Hotel is a traditional German hotel, with friendly efficent staff, clean room and a lovely courtyard bar to sit in in the evening. Food is good whilst not adventurous. Good if restricted selection of wine. Exellent treatment of our 2 boys. We took our 2 dogs to our room and everyone was fine about that. The town is a beautiful old walled town and lovely to spend time in."
Is there anything you didn't like?: "The lift got stuck (with us in it before dinner) and the wine list was constrained to wine by the glass the evening we dined - without explanation. Strange particularly in view of the wine outlet which we discovered was owned by the Hotel the next morning."

What did you like the most?: "Well suited for elderly German couples, who enjoy good wine, and do not mind much else."
Is there anything you didn't like?: "In certain need of renovation. Ask for an advertised swimming pool and you will see a concrete covered whole located in a dark basement - a positive horror movie experience. If you come from a city of mid-quality restaurants, the famed Engel menu will not enchant, while the terrible smell from the kitchen will accompany your stay. There are much nicer restaurants in the village for a quarter of the price. An extra soft bed is an interesting addition to all people with back pain."
