- "Evening dining hours (which are traditional Spanish ones) proved a challenge for a UK family - but everywhere in Bilbao was the same in this regard"

- "Excellent location just an hour from the Santander ferry and ideal starting point for our tour of the coastline to San Sebastian the next morning. Beautiful room with terrace. Enjoyed an excellent meal in the hotel restaurant. Very generous breakfast. Very attentive staff. Good car park."

- Is there anything you didn't like?
- "Old fashioned and poorly furnished room - nowhere to put things in bathroom, impractical storage space - no shelves in wardrobe and only 4 hangers; noisy plumbing - you could hear every time someone had a shower above, below and next door. also thin walls so that people returning to rooms late disturb you. Food in restaurant OK but not good value and cafe noisy and basic, and breakfast coffee/tea not very hot."
