Hotel Queralt is in the center of Berga, in the province of Barcelona.
The property comprises 23 rooms, all of which are equipped with heating, a bathroom, television and internet. Furthermore, our property has a restaurant and a bar. In the vicinity of the hostel there are several shops, bars and restaurants. We are less than an hour away from the Sant Llorenç natural park.
There are many monuments that were designed in a Romanesque style like the Iglesia de Sant Quirze church. Berga is a perfect place to enjoy outside sports such as hiking or riding a bike. We are 14 km away from the ski station Rasos de Peguera.
We are 100 km away from Barcelona, 160 km away from Lleida and 180 km from Gerona.

What did you like the most?: Two nights at Hotel Queralt, Berga, April 2006.
At 50 euro a night with breakfast for two (Continental, of course), we were quite happy in our second floor room, overlooking the street. We could have taken the room without breakfast for E43.
Our room was equipped with a lovely bed, gilt decorated, pictures on the walls, heating, a TV, an ample wardrobe, sufficient bathroom with bath and interesting tables and good mirrors.
The Berga motorcycles are rather noisy - especially as young men go to and from work. We are amazed that the city still allows such noise pollution. Well, that is what we get for asking for a room with a view.
We found the hotel to be conveniently located near the old area and also near to very good eateries.
The Berga Mercat was a little friendlier than those in Barcelona (where I could NOT raise a smile from any one of the hundred people to whom I smiled). I was able to purchase olives, bread and fruit from stall holders for a pleasant lunch.
We also enjoyed Tapas for another meal and some delicious salad and pasta further down the Rambla (Neuvo?) ... sorry, I do not remember the name.
Now, to the Queralt toast. The barman, come coffee/breakfast chef had about twice as much English as we had Catalonian, so we enjoyed toast with jam, orange juice and coffee both mornings - because that is what he served us. We did enjoy our breakfasts, as we scanned the local newspapers: each picture, thankfully, is worth a thousand words.
Staff at the Hotel were pleasant and the downstairs area is well decorated and interesting. I recommend this hotel in Berga.
