- "We went to Casa Joya for Valentin's night and it was fanastic. To
find such fabulous food in the heart of the mountains in rural Spain is
amazing. The menu is extensive and everything is cooked to perfection.
Mary and James provide the perfect warm welcome. The house (an old
cortijo, converted and extended) is very quirky, the rooms are all
individual (we were shown around). Our room was in the old part of the
house, with no straight walls. It was a perfect place to stay for a
romantic break. Their description 'far from the madding crowd'
is certainly true, including the 2km drive on an unmade road, but this
was in good condition and we had no problems with our normal car. Highly

- "The hotel was in a very picturesque setting, the room was spacious and comfortable the owners were very welcoming."

- "The access was terrifying after the rains. This was the reason we stayed only 1 night instead of the 5 we had booked. In the summer it would idyllic."
