    Pensión Mafer is an accommodation set in the centre of the city of Santiago de Compostela, at just 10 minutes away from the Cathedral.

    The special charms of our 8 rooms combined with modern technologies will allow you to have a stay that will be as pleasant as possible.

    Some rooms have small balconies with a view to the Cathedral and, of course, the buffet breakfast is included in the price. Among all the services, we offer free WiFi access, laundry service, lift, a common lounge, parking spaces for bicycles and cots if requested.

    We are located near the places of the historic interest such as the Cathedral, the museums, tourist offices, markets, shops, restaurants, bars, pubs, the university, the pilgrimage information office, parks and gardens. The guesthouse is also close to the new shopping zone.

    We are situated at 600 km away from Madrid, at 80 km from A Coruña, at 90 km from Vigo, and at 65 km from Pontevedra.

    From 9:00 hm to 18:00 h. In case of arriving after 18:00, you should notify it to us in advance.

    Pensión Mafer is in the lovely Old Town of the City of Santiago, where you will find a large variety of restaurants and cafeterías. Our property is just 450 meters away from the train station and 200 meters from the bus stop which buses take you to the airport. Historical zone: Cathedral, museums, tourist offices, markets, shops, restaurants, bars, pubs, the university, the pilgrim office, parks and gardens. New zone: shopping are, supermarket, movie theatre, train station, bus station, bus to the airport, taxis, spa, gym, hairdressers…..

  • Cancellation policy Pensión Mafer

    Reservation may be cancelled or amended up to 48 hours prior to the date of the client's arrival. Failure to cancel your booking prior to this time will result in a charge of one night's accommodation apart from the initial guarantee deposit. In order to amend a reservation, please contact the hotel directly. Contact details figure on the voucher. If by amending your reservation, the number of nights or rooms you had originally booked is reduced, the deposit will not be refunded and will not be discounted of the modified reservation fee.

"We would have preferred a bigger bathroom but can appreciate that it would have been difficult to take any more space from the bedroom."

What did you like the most?
"Cute pension on the second floor of a building very conveniently located; lovely decoration - though mainly IKEA - with a commanding small dining room of satisfactory breakfast. Staff is extraordinarily helpful."
Is there anything you didn't like?
"Noisy in the early am hours due to young party goers leaving discos and passing by with a lot of uproar but this just adds a unique flavor to the place. Unloading the car in front of the pension is difficult and paid parking in the city center is expensive."

Rooms are very clean.
They prepared breakfast for me even I left the hostal at 5 AM
The building is old, but very tasteful. Good atmosphere"

"Stayed here twice. Amazingly attentive staff; first class!!!
Nice rooms and great little breakfast. Rita, Carmen and Natalia were all very sweet!!!"
Is there anything you didn't like?
"Internet is poor. They have no security code so everyone in the general area is probably borrowing the signal which makes it unreliable for the few who would like to use it as part of the room fee."
